The 2022/23 campaign was a breakthrough season for Harvey Bunker. The versatile youngster played 20 games and was crowned as our Young Player of the Season.

Bunks is one of our own, coming through our Academy system having joined the club at the age of 16 and signing his first professional contract with Rovers in 2020.

Released by Southampton at a young age, Bunks has had to do it the hard way, but he’s now reaping the rewards. Loan spells in non-league at Chippenham Town, Weymouth and Scunthorpe United have proved vital in the development of this young man.

Bunks is one of our own, coming through our Academy system having joined the club at the age of 16.

The 20-year-old was loaned out to Scunthorpe back in February 2023, but he didn’t last long in Lincolnshire. Bunker’s performances for the Iron saw him called him back to FGR after just 36 days.

Bunks soon became one of the first names on the team sheet, and he was even given the captain’s armband when Rovers played Wycombe back in April: a proud moment for everybody associated with FGR Academy.
