Support us

At FGR Community we rely on our donors and volunteers to do what we do. Every pound donated and every hour volunteered is important to us and we are hugely grateful to everyone who supports our work.

£50 – covers the cost of an after-school football coaching session

£150 – helps us mentor young people to improve their employability

£250 – helps a class from a deprived area attend a Fit2Last session

£500 – subsidises a coach to help out at a school for a full term

Our charitable status and Gift Aid

FGR Community is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Green Britain Foundation, registered charity no 1148783. We rely on the generosity of the public and generous partners like you to keep our projects running. Every contribution, no matter how small, is gratefully received and will help support our programmes. The Trust can claim Gift Aid on your donation if you are a UK taxpayer, which means we receive an extra 25p in every £1 donated.

There are a number of ways you can donate including:

Single gifts – These are deeply appreciated and can be made via our supported giving page

Regular gifts – Monthly, quarterly or annual Direct Debits are a great way to show continued support for FGR community. This type of donation is really important as it gives us a regular and predictable income. To set up a Direct Debit contact community@fgr.co.uk.

Legacy gifts – It would be a great honour to FGR Community if you left a legacy gift to our charity in your will. If you wish to do this, please let us know by contacting community@fgr.co.uk.

While we are not able to give advice on how to write your will, we can provide an outline of the main types of legacy gift and suggested wording. Leaving a legacy gift can help reduce the amount of inheritance tax paid while at the same time supporting a charity. See this article for how it works.

Matchday volunteers – We have ad hoc opportunities for people who want to help out at matches.

Project volunteers – If you're 18 or older and want to work with young people in schools, or on projects with older people in the community, get in touch.

Work experience – We have opportunities for school and college work placements during term time, holidays and on matchdays. Suitable for Year 10 upwards – just let us know your dates and requirements.

If you want to volunteer, drop us a line at community@fgr.co.uk.
