Forest Green Rovers are delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Jones as Chief Xperience Officer.

In what is believed to be a first for English football, Thomas becomes ‘CXO’ – taking responsibility for the implementation of a new strategy to improve how fans interact and engage with the club, both digitally and in-person on matchdays.

Thomas, who reports to CEO Henry Staelens, joins the Club from work management software company Asana – and previously worked with the Manchester United Foundation for over six years, leading on improving supporter experience by developing their digital communications strategy.

Henry Staelens, Chief Executive Officer, said: “We’ve done really well across so many areas of the Club, both on and off the pitch – and it feels like now is the time to ramp up our efforts regarding how we engage with both our local and international fanbases in a more cohesive and innovative way.

"I think Thomas has the expertise and personality to deliver that vision, so we’re pleased to have him on board”.

Thomas added: “I feel a great sense of pride in joining FGR and I am relishing the opportunity to continue improving and innovating a fan experience that is the envy of the sports world.
