Just 26 days after our last meeting, we take on MK Dons at The Bolt New Lawn on Saturday. It's a big game at the bottom of League One - with Rovers looking to build on their positive performances against Exeter City and Birmingham City over the last seven days.
FGR fans that attended the game at Stadium MK on Boxing Day will be pretty clued up on Saturday's opponents, but for those who didn't make the trip to Buckinghamshire, here is everything you need to know about MK Dons.
Jackson was appointed as MK's new boss just three days before our meeting with them on Boxing Day. He recorded a narrow 1-0 win that day - but Jackson has failed to pick up a win since.
Fixtures have been tough - with MK coming out on the wrong end of away clashes at Plymouth Argyle and Peterborough United, while they were held to a goalless draw by Lincoln City last weekend.
This is Jackson's first managerial role in first-team football, having spent the previous seven years coaching Leeds United youth teams at various levels. In March, he was promoted to first-team coach at Leeds United by Jesse Marsch.
So far this month, MK have brought in two players. Jonathan Leko has joined the Buckinghamshire side for an undisclosed fee from Birmingham City.
An exciting forward player, Leko has over 80 Championship appearances under his belt having featured for the likes of West Brom, Bristol City and Charlton Athletic. He was capped by England youth teams from every level from Under-16s to Under-20s.
Jackson will be hoping that Leko can add energy and creativity to the fourth lowest scorers in League One.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Max Dean has also joined The Dons on a permanent deal. Dean arrives from Leeds - where he worked under Jackson.
He has scored three goals in six appearances for Leeds in the Papa Johns Trophy this season - and Jackson has described the striker as having 'huge potential'.
20/12/22 - MK Dons 0-3 Leicester City
26/12/22 - MK Dons 1-0 Forest Green Rovers
29/12/22 - Peterborough United 2-0 MK Dons
01/01/23 - Plymouth Argyle 3-1 MK Dons
14/01/23 - MK Dons 0-0 Lincoln City
Rovers defender Moore-Taylor enjoyed a spell at MK Dons between 2018 and 2020. Having spent the entirety of his career at boyhood club Exeter City, Moore-Taylor was tempted to Stadium MK by Head Coach, Paul Tisdale, who had made the switch from Devon to Buckinghamshire that summer.
The 28-year-old made 41 appearances during his two seasons at MK - helping the club to promotion from League Two in the 2018/19 campaign.
