Forest Green Rovers are delighted to announce the appointment of Stevie Grieve as the Club’s new Head of Performance & Recruitment.
Grieve arrives at the world’s greenest football club with plenty of experience under his belt from north of the border. His most recent role was at SPFL side St. Johnstone as the club’s Head of Recruitment, while he was Head of Analysis and Opposition Scouting at Dundee United between the summer of 2019 and 2021.
The 35-year-old’s priority will be to support the Head Coach in preparation for the January transfer window, as well as reviewing and improving performance aspects behind the scenes.
Grieve will oversee departments such as analysis and sports science, as well as aspects of the training ground environment - he will also have an input on the set-up and design of our upcoming training ground, at the site of Eco Park.
Upon his arrival at The Bolt New Lawn, Grieve said: "I am very excited by the opportunity to join FGR. I look forward to building an elite performance environment at the club - which will help us win as many games as possible both now and in the future."
Chairman Dale Vince added: “We’ve taken our time in finding the right person, so that we could turn the adversity of losing a team member (via the improper approach of Portsmouth) into an advantage.
“Stevie will give us that, he’ll bring a significant improvement to our recruitment, use of data and performance focus. We’re excited to welcome Stevie to the team and look forward to working with him on this next phase of our journey.”
