Forest Green are delighted to announce that Sean Long will also be joining the club on July 1.
Experienced defender Long has made 226 EFL appearances and will be signing following the expiry of his contract at Cheltenham Town.
Long made over 200 appearances for the Robins and captained the side for the last two League One campaigns.
29-year-old Long bolsters the defence and becomes our second signing of the summer.
On joining the club, Long said: “I’ve had six unbelievable years at Cheltenham – some really good people as well as making some great memories. I want to thank them and wish them all the best.
“It was a privilege to captain the club and I’d like to thank the fans for their support during my time.
“We achieved some great things but I’m at the stage where it’s time for a new challenge.
“I had some really good discussions with the Gaffer and everything he said was something I want to get involved in.
“He made things clear on what he wants to do and the kind of player he wants to bring in.
“It’s a really exciting the challenge and a great opportunity to bounce back.”
