FGR can today reveal our brand-new 2021/22 home and away kits, debuting as a digital edition which is available to download TODAY.  

 We teamed up with the digital clothing brand republiqe to break new ground in the world of football kit. 

All fans need to do is upload a picture – chose whether they want to buy the digital shirt for £5 or the full kit for £10 - and they will get e-fitted. The image can then be used online. 

Forest Green Rovers’ 2021/22 kit, created in partnership with PlayerLayer, takes the club’s famous dazzling zebra print and electrifies it with a jolt of energy.  

Following its switch to bamboo fabric in 2019, the club continues to pursue more sustainable materials. This season, we're rolling out an innovative new low impact fabric, made from waste coffee grounds and recycled water bottles – as tested in a prototype earlier this season.  

Having shipped FGR shirts to more than 50 countries in the last season, the club is now offering global fans the ultimate in low-impact replica shirts – a shirt made without material! 

As well as being able to buy the digital edition today, fans are also able to pre-order a physical kit from the FGR website, to be despatched ahead of the new season. 

The club is selling a limited number of shirts made in the new coffee fabric, as well as a lower-priced fan edition – made from the club’s existing sustainable bamboo fabric blend.  

 Dale Vince, Chairman, Forest Green Rovers, said:  

 “Digital fashion is a really exciting but improbable frontier.  It’s super-low impact, and we’re really excited to launch our shirts made from nothing but pixels.  We’ve also worked really hard to lower the impact of the real kit too – thanks to our new coffee grounds material, available in limited numbers.  This is the direction of travel, and hopefully more clubs will wake up and smell the coffee and push the pixels.”
