We are delighted to announce the signing of highly-rated winger Sean Robertson on a permanent contract.

The 21-year-old started his career with Premier League side Crystal Palace - and remained at Selhurst Park throughout his development until his departure this summer.

Robertson spent the beginning of pre-season on trial at the likes of Sheffield United and Derby County - before deciding to become part of Ian Burchnall's squad for our debut League One campaign.

On making the move to Nailsworth, Robertson said: "This is a great moment for me. I am at a stage now where I need to be playing men's football. Forest Green is a great club for me to start this journey - and I am ready to get going."

Ian Burchnall, Head Coach, said: "Sean can play as a wing-back on both sides or more advanced as a winger or part of a front three.

"He'll give us more competition and depth in those areas with Harry Boyes being injured and he has plenty to offer us.

"He's a young player who is hungry to succeed. He fits the profile of what we're trying to achieve here and I'm sure he'll fit in well with the lads and do well really well for us."
