Ryan Inniss' late header cancelled out Sonny Blu Lo-Everton's first half strike to take a point from Huish Park on Friday afternoon.
The towering defender rose highest in the penalty area in stoppage time to give Rovers a valuable draw against the Glovers.m
Manager Steve Cotterill named two changes to the starting XI with Christian Doidge and Charlie McCann replacing Liam Sercombe and Jordon Garrick who both made the bench.
Rovers started brightly and had the first chance of the game when Doidge nodded into the path of Cardwell but Aidan Stone was able to stop.
Yeovil grew into the game and opened the scoring when Lo-Everton poked home from close range on 24 minutes.
Harvey Greenslade then came close on two occasions - the first a powerful effort that whistled past the post before Ryan Inniss had to clear from the line to deny the Glovers forward.
Lo-Everton's free-kick from the edge of the penalty area fizzed just over Ted Cann's crossbar after the break.
Rovers battled to the death and produced some late drama as Inniss nodded home following Joe Quigley's fine goalbound header.
