Forest Green Rovers have extended their long-standing relationship with global business Renishaw until the end of the season.
Headquartered in Gloucestershire, Renishaw is one of the world's leading engineering and scientific technology companies – and over the last few years, they have played a key role in supporting the club.
As a global company, it has more than 79 offices in 37 countries, with 2,200 employees based across five sites local to our stadium – and are passionate about helping to enrich and support the local community through charitable donations and event sponsorship.
Their branding emblazoned on the Community North Stand has enabled local, volunteer-led groups to attend matches at discounted prices, allowing more groups the chance to experience a matchday at the innocent New Lawn, when supporters return.
Renishaw has also gifted car parking spaces at its Woodchester site to our matchday ‘park and ride’ service for supporters – with the money raised being donated to our closest neighbours, Nailsworth Primary School, who were able to buy sports equipment to help keep their pupils active.
“As the largest private-sector employer in Gloucestershire, it is important for us to engage with and support our local communities”, said Chris Pockett, Renishaw’s Head of Communications.
Forest Green Rovers is a true community club, yet has a global profile due to its unique approach to sustainability, so extending our long-term relationship makes great sense for both organisations.
