Rovers welcome Exeter City to The Bolt New Lawn tonight as they look to qualify for the knockout stages of the Papa John's Trophy.
Here we take a look at our PJT campaign so far that has seen us secure maximum points.
Rovers opened their PJT account for the season back in late August with a 3-1 victory over the young Saints.
The visitors began the brighter of the two sides and came close when Sam Bellis took aim from range, his shot whistling past the far post.
They would take the lead just after the half hour mark when defender Oliver Lancashire met a Matt Carson free-kick to upset the odds early on.
That lead lasted just five minutes however as Baily Cargill poked home the equaliser after a Regan Hendry corner caused a scramble in the box.
Saints had two great chances to retake the lead before the break but Rovers would capitalise on those missed chances and turn things around in first half stoppage time.
Armani Little whipped in a free-kick from the near side which was cleared only to Dom Bernard who beautifully guided the ball into the far bottom corner.
Rovers were really knocking on the door after half time drawing a host of good saves out of keeper Oliver Wright before Oliver Casey headed home a third just before the hour mark.
The away side were given a lifeline when Little was given his marching orders on 72 minutes - but Rovers would hold out to run out 3-1 victors and start off with a win.
Ian Burchnall's side continued their 100% start to the PJT when they defeated Newport County 2-1 at Rodney Parade a month ago.
In an uneventful opening 45 minutes in South Wales it was Rovers who fashioned the best chance.
It was young centre back Harvey Bunker who came close to putting Rovers ahead as his header struck the base of the post to the relief of Exiles keeper Joe Day.
Into the second half and Rovers properly brought Day into action for the first time as he made an important intervention to keep the scores level.
The shot stopper had to push Corey O'Keeffe's cross away from goal before Regan Hendry's shot was saved and held only just on the goal line.
Rovers eventually had their lead 20 minutes from time when Ben Stevenson superbly drilled in from the edge of the box for his first Rovers goal.
The hosts then rattled the bar from close range through Nathan Moriah-Welsh but would go another goal down not long after as Chelsea loanee Bryan Fiabema hammered home in the area.
Will Evans grabbed a consolation for Newport in injury time but it wasn't enough as Rovers went back to GL6 with maximum points taking their tally to six.
