Rovers are back on their travels as they head East to face Peterborough United at The Weston Homes Stadium in their rearranged clash.
Head Coach Ian Burchnall will be hoping his side can continue their momentum after a massive 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
Here we take a look at the Posh, our sixth away opponent of our first season in League One.
Former Peterborough midfielder and gaffer Grant McCann reassumed the position of manager back in February following the resignation of Darren Ferguson.
The ex-Northern Irish international began his playing career with West Ham United and most notably turned out for Cheltenham Town, Scunthorpe United and the Posh before retiring in 2015.
His first managerial role came with Peterborough in 2016 as he led the side to an 11th placed finish in League One before being sacked midway through the following campaign.
McCann became the Doncaster Rovers manager a few months later and took Donny to the League One play-offs, where they narrowly lost out in the semi-final to Charlton Athletic on penalties.
And that impressive campaign earned McCann a move to take over at Hull City.
Relegation to League One marked a poor first season before an immediate return to the Championship winning the title in the following 2020/21 season.
He parted company with the Tigers back in February before re-joining the Posh as he now heads up a first full season back in charge of the club.
Peterborough skipper Jonson Clarke-Harris re-joined the club in 2020 after signing from fellow League One side Bristol Rovers.
The 28-year-old spent his youth career with Coventry City where he made his professional debut before his first spell with the Posh and then with Oldham Athletic.
An impressive season with the Latics saw the striker move to Rotherham United in 2014 for a then club record fee.
During his time with the Millers, he made over 75 appearances alongside a couple of loan spells, the last of which with his boyhood club Coventry before he re-signed permanently for the Sky Blues.
However, Clarke-Harris’ time there was short lived as he made the move to the Gas just a year on before leaving to go back to Peterborough in the Summer of 2020.
He has an impressive goalscoring record that has seen him net over 50 times for the club and he has started this season strongly, having scored nine times already in the league.

Rovers' trio Matty Stevens, Luke McGee and Reece Brown have all spent time with the Posh, the latter two on loan in Cambridgeshire.
Stevens joined Rovers from Peterborough back in 2019 where he played just five games in a three-year spell, spending most of his time on loan in non-league.
A month after Stevens signed, McGee would also join the club where he spent the season on loan making 45 appearances in all competitions, including a FA Cup tie away to Chelsea.
Meanwhile Browny’s time with the Posh came after his first spell with Rovers as he played for United over three separate loan spells making a total 64 appearances.
Peterborough were held to a 1-1 draw by Dino Maamria’s Burton Albion at The Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Both sides came close to breaking the deadlock in the opening 45 as Davis Keillor-Dunn brought a good save out of Lucas Bergstrom before Rick Jade-Jones smashed the bar for the hosts.
Grant McCann’s side did take the lead however just moments after the break as Jonson Clarke-Harris headed home when Ben Thompson’s original effort was blocked.
The Peterborough captain nearly had a second later in the half, but his powered header was saved by Ben Garratt at point blank range.
Posh had a staggering 25 shots in the clash but wouldn’t be leaving with the three points when Victor Adeboyejo levelled the score, volleying home 15 minutes from time.
The result leaves Posh just a point outside the play-offs whilst the Brewers come off the foot of the table, overtaking Morecambe.
