Forest Green Rovers, the world's first carbon-neutral football club, is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with Oatly, the world’s original and largest oat drink company.
This collaboration marks a shared commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and the transformation of our global food system for both people and the planet.
The renewed partnership is set to be even more impactful and far-reaching, solidifying Forest Green Rovers' position as a trailblazer in environmentally responsible sports management.
Oatly’s mission is to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources. Together with Forest Green Rovers, they aim to inspire fans, athletes, and other organizations to shift away from diets unnecessarily reliant on dairy and meat. According to a recent study, Oatly Barista – used in all tea and coffee served at the stadium - has a 58% lower climate impact than comparable cow’s milk. Forest Green Rovers has implemented numerous eco-friendly initiatives at its stadium, The New Lawn, including a fully vegan menu, solar panels, and rainwater harvesting systems. The partnership with Oatly will further promote the club's sustainability message and encourage fans to make environmentally conscious choices.
Bryan Carroll, General Manager for Oatly UK & Ireland said: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Forest Green Rovers and support their vision of a cleaner, greener way to enjoy and participate in sport, with zero compromise on experience. Together, we aim to inspire fans of the club and beyond to see that small shifts can add up to create a big impact – whether that’s on the field, in the stadium, or in the choices we make when it comes to our food and drink.”
Together, Forest Green Rovers and Oatly aim to drive positive change in the sports industry and beyond, demonstrating that it's possible to enjoy world-class athletics while minimising environmental impact. This renewed partnership sets a strong example for organizations worldwide, encouraging them to consider sustainability as an essential aspect of their operations.
