FGR Women Head Coach Tom Needham was delighted with his side's performance in their 9-0 win over Downend Flyers in the Gloucestershire FA Trophy semi-final.
Rovers will play Pucklechurch in the final next month, with a hat-trick from Hattie Jones, braces from Nynka Rucker and Ellie Briscoe and goals from Louise Fensome and Faith Pound securing the victory.
After just missing out on the South West Regional Women's Football League title, Needham believes that the final against Pucklechurch next month gives his players something to look forward to.
"It's really nice to get to a final and to finish off the season nicely," said Needham.
"It was a really good performance. We created a lot of chances and we put them away, so it was a really good performance.
"At the start of the season, it was the aim to finish in the top three of the league - and we've done that, so hopefully we can top it off with a cup win.
"We're disappointed to have just missed out on the league title, but the final gives us something to look forward to.
"We have a bit of a gap between fixtures now, so we have time to work on what we want to do ahead of the last two competitive games. We'll be prepared for the final."
Full details for next month's final will be released in due course.
