Forest Green Rovers are delighted to announce that Terry McPhillips has joined the club as Chief Scout.
The 54-year-old has left his post as Assistant Manager at National League North side Southport - where he has been since October 2021 - to take the role at Rovers.
A striker in his playing days, McPhillips enjoyed a playing career that spanned 10 years, turning out for the likes of Northampton Town, Crewe Alexandra and Barrow.
McPhillips has had coaching roles at Crewe and Blackburn Rovers, and he enjoyed a spell in charge of Blackpool’s first-team during the 2018/19 season, where he was assisted by Tony Grant for a short period, leading the Seasiders to a tenth-placed finish in League One.
The duo also worked together at Indian side East Bengal under Robbie Fowler.
