Forest Green Rovers shared the points with Ebbsfleet United following a stalemate National League clash at the Kuflink Stadium on Tuesday night.

Steve Cotterill made three changes from the side that suffered defeat on Saturday, seeing Christian Doidge and Emmanuel Osadebe in alongside a debut for Brandon Fleming.

It took a while for the first opportunity of the game to arise but on 35 minutes Liam Sercombe saw a driven effort from inside the area well blocked for Rovers.

Fleet went close on 43 minutes when Jamie Robson did well to cut a low George Moncur cross inside the six-yard box before Toby Edser blazed the follow up over the bar.

Rovers came out the stronger at the start of the second and on 47 minutes saw Kyle McAllister’s low effort, after a darting run, smartly stopped by Fleet’s goalkeeper Mark Cousins.

Two minutes later, Ebbsfleet’s Mustapha Olagunji saw his headed effort cannon off the top of the crossbar following a Moncur corner.

The Fleet started to apply some pressure to Rovers and on 70 minutes picked out Josh Passley with some well worked play, but his effort was blocked into the arms of Fabian Mrozek.

10 minutes later, Mrozek was called into action pulling off an impressive double save to all but secure his second Rovers clean sheet.

Rovers found a spark late on the game and almost nicked all three points when Ryan Inniss saw a headed beaten away by Cousins before the Fleet ‘keeper superbly denied Joe Quigley his first league goal from close range.

Rovers are back in action on Saturday when return to The New Lawn to take on Woking in our latest National League match-up.
