A second half comeback saw Forest Green come away with a 3-1 victory over Eastleigh at The Silverlake Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Harry Cardwell, Tom Knowles and Charlie McCann cancelled out Chris Maguire's first-half strike.
The result sees Rovers climb to second in the table, remaining three points off the summit of the National League.
Rovers started the brighter of the two sides and had the game’s first chance in the seventh minute.
A misplaced pass from Eastleigh goalkeeper’s Joe McDonnell found Liam Sercombe, whose through ball eventually fell to striker Cardwell with his effort well saved by McDonnell.
Cardwell was again denied by the Eastleigh’s number one, this time after Jamie Robson’s through ball found the striker.
Soon after, Knowles was denied by the inspired McDonnell who superbly saved the on-rushing winger’s header.
It would be the home side however to open the scoring seven minutes before the break.
A long throw in by McCallum eventually found Eastleigh captain Jake Taylor whose header fell to Chris Maguire who fired the Spitfires into the lead.
That lead did not last long as Steve Cotterill’s side found an equaliser just after the restart.
McCann found Cardwell just inside the Eastleigh penalty area and the 27-year-old finished low past McDonnell to draw Rovers level.
The away side would then take the lead just before the hour mark.
McCann’s effort from just outside the penalty area was pushed out as far as winger Knowles whose strike eventually found the bottom corner, after an attempted clearance on the line.
Rovers would grab their third of the afternoon through a swift attacking move.
Midfielder Adam May found Kyle McAllister on the right-hand side who then picked out the arriving McCann who swept the ball home.
The away side would see the game out well for the remaining 20 minutes, limiting Eastleigh to half chances and long-ranged efforts.
