Forest Green Rovers took all three points from their trip to Pilgrim Way on Saturday afternoon in a 4-0 win against Boston United.
Christian Doidge opened the scoring in the third minute of the game slotting home from close range after a defensive error from the hosts.
Liam Sercombe found the back of the net in the 21st minute with an audacious lob from deep inside the centre circle in a ‘goal of the year’ contender.
Sercombe scored again 20 minutes later just before half time as Doidge slipped him in and his effort was palmed into the side of the goal.
Finally, the number nine, Doidge, added to the tally with a header from the back post after Robson delivered a cross.
Rovers conceded a penalty in the 87th minute by fouling Jordan Richards before Jed Ward’s heroics kept the clean sheet intact when he saved the penalty taken by Jacob Hazel.
