Forest Green are back under The New Lawn lights welcoming FC Halifax Town as we look to make it nine National League games unbeaten.
The Shaymen ran out 1-0 winners on their last visit to Nailsworth in 2016 totalling up their fourth win over Rovers in 12 meetings.
Ahead of Wednesday night’s game clash, here is everything Rovers’ fans need to know about our visitors.
The Shaymen arrive at The New Lawn in good form winning both of their last two fixtures 1-0 over Yeovil Town and Woking whilst also suffering just two defeats in their last seven league games.
That sort of form sees the Shaymen occupy seventh in the National League after 18 games played, a position the side are familiar with.
Last season, manager Chris Millington guided his side to a seventh place finish qualifying for the play-offs but went out to eventual finalists, Solihull Moors.
Millington’s sides form and position is even more impressive as the Shaymen are the lowest scoring team in the top 17 sides with just 20 goals in 18 games.
Millington embarked on his managerial career taking charge of the Shaymen in 2022 since guiding his side to an 11th place finish in 22/23 then a play-off campaign last season.
After a stint as Oldham Athletic’s assistant manager to Pete Wild, the 49-year-old followed Wild to the Shaymen in 2019 before taking the reins three years later.
Since taking charge of the Shaymen, Millington has managed over 100 games for clubs seeing better win record over everything clinching 43 victories in his short tenure.
One player who would be worth keeping an eye on comes from the back in 22-year-old centre-back, Adam Senior, the Shaymen’s most productive player so far in the league this season.
The former Bolton Wanderers product has notched up two goals and three assists in 18 appearances whilst also helping out in six clean sheets so far this season.
