With our 2023/24 fixtures now confirmed, here are some of they key dates you need to keep in mind for the upcoming campaign...

FIRST GAME - SALFORD CITY (H)

Rovers will kick-off their campaign at The New Lawn against Salford City. Neil Wood's side finished in the League Two play-offs last season.

FGR have never lost on the opening day of an EFL season, winning five and drawing one of their first day fixtures.

FIRST AWAY GAME - HARROGATE TOWN (A)

It's a trip to North Yorkshire on August 12 for Rovers' first away day of the season. FGR have happy memories of Wetherby Road.

Nicky Cadden, Jack Aitchison, Jamille Matt and Matty Stevens were all on the scoresheet when Rovers thrashed Harrogate 4-1 back in December 2021.

BOXING DAY - NEWPORT COUNTY (A)

In the first of two short away trips in the space of three days, we'll face Newport County at Rodney Parade on Boxing Day.

We last played County on Boxing Day in 2018, with Rovers running riot in a 4-1 victory, as George Williams grabbed a memorable hat-trick.

NEW YEAR'S DAY - AFC WIMBLEDON (H)

A New Year at The New Lawn! AFC Wimbledon will be the first visitors to Nailsworth in 2024.

The game will also be our first EFL meeting with The Dons in Nailsworth.

FINAL DAY - NOTTS COUNTY (H)

We round-off the season on our own patch, with newly-promoted Notts County the visitors to Nailsworth on April 27.

It'll be the first time we've finished a league campaign at The New Lawn since the 2018/19 season.
