Rovers continue their League Two campaign as they look to extend their eight match league unbeaten run against Oldham Athletic this weekend.
Here’s everything you need to know about Rovers’ next opponents, the Latics.
MEET THE MANAGER: SELIM BENACHOUR (INTERIM)
Selim Benachour made the step up from the academy to become interim manager after the departure of Keith Curle just two weeks ago.
The Tunisian played for the likes of PSG, Malaga and Rubin Kazan and made 44 appearances for his country before retiring in 2018.
His first taste of coaching came at youth level in France before roles in Poland, Tunisia and Romania.
The 40-year-old first moved to Greater Manchester in September 2020 becoming the Under 18s manager, a role he remained in until he recently took the interim role.
Benachour has taken charge of three games thus far losing two league games either side of a victory over Sunderland in the Papa John’s Trophy. KEY PLAYER: DYLAN BAHAMBOULA
Dylan Bahamboula signed for Oldham Athletic back in October 2020 joining the Latics from Bulgarian outfit Tsarsko Selo.
After playing his early youth years in France, he signed for Monaco at the age of 15, however he never made a first team appearance.
Bahamboula played the majority of his football for Monaco B and Paris FC before stints in Romania and Algeria.
The 26-year old DR Congo international stands tall at 6ft 1in and is best known for his silky skills and impressive dribbling ability.
Bahamboula has scored three goals and notched up one assist in what’s been a tough season for Oldham so far, as they currently sit 23rd.

LAST TIME OUT
Oldham Athletic lost their third league game in a row as a last gasp winner meant they fell 1-0 to Tranmere Rovers at Boundary Park.
It was the hosts who were the first to come close rattling the woodwork early on, as Davis Keilor-Dunn’s curling effort cannoned back off the crossbar.
Oldham did have the ball in the net on the half hour mark, but the corner from which the goal came from had to be retaken, as the ball had bizarrely blown out of the quadrant.
Into the second half and both sides came almightily close. Latics attacker Zach Dearnley had his effort saved off the line before Kieron Morris struck the base of the post for the away side.
Into stoppage time and Rovers had their goal. A scrap in the box allowed the ball to fall to Morris who set up Charlie Jolley to fire home the winner.
The result means Tranmere now sit two points outside the play-offs with a game in hand whilst Oldham are in the bottom two after a run of one win in eight in the league.
LAST TIME WE MET
Forest Green Rovers ran riot at Boundary Park and secured a play-off place as they won 3-0 against Oldham Athletic.
In a first half with few chances, Odin Bailey came the closest for Rovers as his effort from close range went just over the bar into the derelict away end, due to COVID-19 regulations.
Just after the hour mark and Rovers took the lead. Jayden Richardson was scythed down in the box giving Aaron Collins the platform to fire FGR ahead.
Two minutes later and it was two, this time Collins turning provider to put the ball on a plate for Bailey to all but secure Rovers’ play-off place.
A brilliant solo run and finish from Collins 10 minutes from time sealed the victory setting up a semi-final with Newport County.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The two sides first met in League 2 action back in 2018 and have met six times all together in their respective histories.
Rovers have a very impressive record against the Latics having never lost, winning three times and drawing the other three.
Our last trip to Boundary Park came on the final day of last season as an Aaron Collins double helped Rovers win 3-0, cementing a play-off place.
