Forest Green Rovers today confirms the signing of Kane Wilson from Championship side West Bromwich Albion, with the player joining on a free transfer and two-year contract.
The 20-year old, who can operate as a wing-back on either side, has spent the majority of the past two seasons on loan, at Exeter City and Tranmere Rovers respectively.
On the move, Kane said: “I'm really pleased to be joining Forest Green, my family are so proud. Now I just can’t wait to get going for the new season."
On getting the deal done, Forest Green’s Director of Football, Richard Hughes pointed out: “We are really pleased to get this one done, we see Kane as a great asset to the football club and think he will be a good fit for us. He is the modern full-back and can effect the play at both ends of the pitch.”
