The Club is excited to announce that work has begun on a full pitch reconstruction this summer.
This includes replacing the current playing surface with a 'SISgrass Hybrid Pitch' that will be important for the durability of the surface moving forward.
The work will also see improved drainage and pitch quality as well as a brand new irrigation system that will keep the pitch fresh.
The renovation will bring the pitch in line with our new training facilities located at junction 13 of the M5 ready for the 2024-25 season.
Director of Projects Dane Vince said: "It’s no secret that our fixtures have been disrupted over the past few seasons, this work will help protect our pitch from heavy downpours and extreme weather events that will only become more frequent.
"Climate change is a huge threat to our way of life and projects such as this are going to become more and more necessary."
Head groundsman Nick Johnstone added: "We've looked to be pro-active following on from last winter.
"We aim to raise the playing surface quality at the stadium and, from a performance point of view, it will be great to have the players playing and training on the same surface."
