Following his magical midfield performance during Saturday’s victory over Oldham Athletic, Charlie McCann has been included in the National League’s Team of the Week.

McCann scored the only goal of the game with a sweetly struck effort into the bottom right just before the break making sure Rovers secured victory in their final league game at home this season.

That goal took his tally to 11 for the season, making him the FGR's joint-top scorer, alongside Christian Doidge, in the league this season.

The midfielder has featured in 35 of Rovers 45 league games this season notching up five assists to go alongside his best ever scoring season.

It also takes his Team of the Week appearances to seven for the season, the most of any Rovers player, and Rovers overall tally to 26.

Jamie Robson (3), Jed Ward (3), Ryan Inniss (3), Kyle McAllister (2), Liam Sercombe (2), and Doidge (2) all closely follow McCann.

Ben Tozer, Adam May, Harvey Bunker and Joe Quigley all have one appearance to their names this season.
