Harvey Bunker says Forest Green Rovers will head into their clash with Mansfield Town with everything they’ve got on Saturday. 

The morale around the Rovers camp has been high this week following last Saturday's 5-0 demolition of Colchester United. 

“I think we needed the win," said Bunker. "It was definitely coming but it was just good to get it." 

“This [Mansfield] is going to be a tough game, but we’ve prepared right for it and hopefully we’re going into it with everything we’ve got."

This result saw an EFL best for Rovers (they had never won 5-0 in the Football League before) in which Bunker was able to get himself involved with one of the goals. 

Matty Stevens netted his second of the game thanks to a delightful ball over the top from Bunker, which he hopes he can carry on this season. 

“I remember saying to Matty, ‘you’ll get a goal in a minute,’ and he obviously scored one just before then to set one up for him, it was just good to get the assist. 

"It’s something that I’m looking to add to my game and would be something to push me on."

But not only has he been able to help out with the attackers, Bunker has been called upon to aid the defensive unit of the team. 

“The lads, considering the situation, have just got on with it and dealt with the situation," he explained.

“If I can help keep a clean sheet and be a part of back four or five, then it’s definitely a part of my game I want to help with."
