James Belshaw says Forest Green need to put in a 'confident performance' when Rovers visit Stockport County on Tuesday evening.
The goalkeeper joined Forest Green on an emergency loan last week after Rovers' number one, Luke Daniels, picked up an ankle injury against Notts County, keeping him out of action for a couple of weeks.
It's been a whirlwind few days for Belshaw, who only trained with his new FGR team-mates once before making his debut in the 2-1 defeat to Morecambe.
“I heard it [the move] was all happening during the middle of last week," said Belshaw. "As soon as I heard of the interest, I was eager to come and get some games and help out the club.
“I’ve always had good experiences when I’ve played against the club and I get a good feeling from everybody around here. It’s a progressive club with good people who all want to do well.
“Everybody’s been so welcoming. It’s a great bunch of lads here. Saturday was a poor performance, but the lads are eager to put it right against Stockport."
Belshaw's first away day with Rovers is a trip to high-flying Stockport at Edgeley Park. The Hatters got off to a slow start to the new season, winning one of their first five matches, but they are now unbeaten in their last five outings.
The 32-year-old knows Rovers must improve from the defeat to Morecambe if they're to get anything out of the game - and he's called upon his team-mates to put on a confident display for the travelling supporters.
“We’ve looked at clips of Stockport and we know it’s going to be a tough game," said the Bristol Rovers loanee. "They’re on a good run, they had a good win on Saturday at Accrington.
“It’s important to impose our game plan on them. We don’t want to play second fiddle. We want to play at our tempo and put in a confident performance. We owe it to the fans after a sub par performance on Saturday.
“We’re going there to win a game of football, let’s hope we can do that.”
